Spa jets are designed to provide massage pressure and hydrotherapy benefits. When jets stop functioning correctly, it can significantly reduce spa performance and enjoyment.

Jet problems may affect a single jet, an entire seat, or the full spa system.

Common causes:

  • Blocked jets

  • Dirty filters

  • Failing circulation pump

  • Air locks

  • Broken diverter valves

  • Plumbing blockages

  • Controller issues

Over time, calcium buildup and debris can restrict water flow through jets, especially in spas with inconsistent maintenance.

Signs of jet problems:

  • Weak pressure

  • Jets pulsing on and off

  • Some jets not working

  • Uneven pressure between seats

  • Air bubbles or surging

What to do:

  • Clean or replace spa filters

  • Check jet adjustments

  • Ensure water levels are correct

  • Bleed air from pumps if necessary

  • Contact a local spa repair specialist if problems continue

Ignoring weak jet performance can place additional strain on pumps and circulation systems.
