Spa jets are designed to provide massage pressure and hydrotherapy benefits. When jets stop functioning correctly, it can significantly reduce spa performance and enjoyment.
Jet problems may affect a single jet, an entire seat, or the full spa system.
Common causes:
Blocked jets
Dirty filters
Failing circulation pump
Air locks
Broken diverter valves
Plumbing blockages
Controller issues
Over time, calcium buildup and debris can restrict water flow through jets, especially in spas with inconsistent maintenance.
Signs of jet problems:
Weak pressure
Jets pulsing on and off
Some jets not working
Uneven pressure between seats
Air bubbles or surging
What to do:
Clean or replace spa filters
Check jet adjustments
Ensure water levels are correct
Bleed air from pumps if necessary
Contact a local spa repair specialist if problems continue
Ignoring weak jet performance can place additional strain on pumps and circulation systems.
