Spa leaks are one of the most common problems we encounter throughout Brisbane and South East Queensland. Even a small leak can eventually result in major repair costs if left unresolved.

Some leaks are obvious and visible externally, while others can remain hidden underneath the spa cabinet or underground for long periods.

Common leak locations:

  • Pump unions

  • Heater assemblies

  • Pipe fittings

  • Jet bodies

  • Air blower lines

  • Waterfall features

  • Cracked plumbing

  • Seals and gaskets

Leaks are sometimes made worse by age, vibration, poor water chemistry, or ground movement underneath the spa.

Signs your spa may have a leak:

  • Constant water loss

  • Wet ground around the spa

  • Equipment area moisture

  • Water level dropping rapidly

  • Increased topping up requirements

  • Cabinet swelling or water damage

What to do:

  • Monitor water loss over several days

  • Check visible plumbing and equipment

  • Inspect around pumps and heaters for moisture

  • Avoid letting the water level drop too low

  • Contact a local spa repair specialist to carry out leak detection and repairs

Small leaks can eventually damage pumps, controllers, cabinetry, insulation, and electrical systems if left untreated.
